We have experienced a global health pandemic, crisis of democracy, and the acknowledgement of systemic racism. I do not have any doubt in my mind that it will be documented in the history books for generations to come. As 2020 continues, have you taken the time to reflect on what the year has meant for you?
The foundation of life forms by the perception of our perspective. I love the quote by Lee Atwater, “Perception is Reality.” That quote leads me to touch on the importance of intentional personal growth. When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put the ways of childhood behind me ~1 Corinthians 13:11.
For most of this year, we have been challenged to “sit”. When I say “sit” I mean that literally and figuratively, due to the world as we know it shutting down for quite some time. The way my faith is set up I personally understood the undertaking of shutting down the world is not the work of man, yet the work of God. My faith is strong; however, even the biggest believers have their struggles. I admit up until a few years ago I never fully surrendered and exercised faith because He always granted me resilience at the “right” time. I have known this, but the clarity is undeniable~ it is NOT about me, my family, or my life. It is so much bigger than that. Consciousness ushers us into maturity and growth. As 2020 continues, have you taken the time to reflect on what the year has meant to you? I am grateful God continues to release His favor upon me present and future. As I recreate a greater me, I must continue to be positioned toward the purpose of service. What can I do to better the life of another? Whether it be words of encouragement, my time, my support, or other resources. I am faithful that my purpose will lead to the legacy I leave behind.
