Eileen Alexander

Eileen holds the office of Board Vice President and is the Chair of Community Partnerships & Sponsorships.  Over the past thirty years, she has been committed and devoted to helping women, especially single mothers, find their potential, work through their struggles and concerns by providing them with mentoring, training, and encouraging words of support. Being a single mother, Eileen knows the struggles women have being the head of a household and raising a family by themselves.

Eileen is the mother of two adult children, who she loves with all her heart. She has a granddaughter and a grandson on the way!

She has over thirty years of business and nonprofit experience that includes financial management, budget development, strategic planning, training and development, customer service, and leadership development.

For ten years Eileen established and was the founder, CEO, and President of Women’s Empowerment Network, Inc., a nonprofit organization that focused on teaching life and job skills classes to single mothers, unemployed, displaced homemakers, and homeless women. Eileen and the volunteers of WEN worked with various agencies and taught their clients courses that included Steps to Success; Interpersonal Skills, Communication, Decision Making, Conflict Resolution, and Assertiveness Skills; Job Readiness, Customer Service, Financial and Business Awareness.

Eileen is very active in her church and currently works in the finance office and is a member of the Board of Directors.

Committed to education, Eileen has a Bachelor Science in Business Administration with an emphasis in Management, Master of Science in Accounting and a Graduate Certificate in Nonprofit Management and Leadership.

After working for private industry and local government for over thirty years Eileen retired in August of 2018 and is enjoying her retirement by spending time with her family, friends, and volunteering.
